Outstanding Racing Prospects To Feature At Newmarket Next Week

Talented stakes winners Vergara and Casino Dancer, plus a wealth of other in-training race fillies and mares will be offered among the Inglis Australian Broodmare and Weanling Sale in Sydney next week.

There are a multitude of racing prospects as part of both Think Big Stud’s and Gooree Park Stud’s unreserved reductions, plus the additional Select Race Fillies and Mares section of the catalogue.

“We feel she has gotten better with each preparation," stated Cummings when speaking about Vergara.

"She is currently in full work and would be ready to contest races over the Brisbane Winter Carnival, or she could also go for a spell and be brought back in time for the spring in Melbourne.”

A winner of the Group 3 Epona Stakes three starts back before an outstanding effort in the Group 1 Doncaster Mile where she finished fourth, the well-related Vergara is closely related to young sire Turffontein.

With earnings over $500,000 from eight wins and six placed efforts, the Snippetson mare looks an outstanding prospect at the sale next week.

Set to sell on Tuesday, May 3 as Lot 550, you can view Vergara's pedigree by clicking here.

Over 1000 weanlings, broodmares, racing prospects and yearlings are set to go under the hammer at Newmarket next week.

Catalogues are available online at inglis.com.au and on the Inglis Sales iPad App, and hard-copy catalogues are available at reception.

Top Of My List Takes Out The Listed Sydney Markets Lord Mayor's Cup 2000m

Top Of My List and Tim Clarke made it two wins in a row in taking out the Sydney Markets Lord Mayor's Cup 2000m at Rosehill yesterday . Tim Clarke had this to say on her run "She was good. She had to rise in weight today and get back on top of the ground. She was able to control the race from outside the speed. The more I ride her the more I get to know her. She likes to flow through her gears. You can't just get her to dash off the mark. I thought she gave a good kick at the top of the straight. She was vulnerable late but she kept sticking her head out ".
