Hierarchal Steps Up To Champion Stakes
Hierarchal Steps Up To Champion Stakes
Oct 07, 2015
In beating the older horses when breaking his maiden, Hierarchal put racing pundits on notice of better things to come. His step to Group 1 racing comes a little early for him but with the series of races that got Fiveandahalfstar to his VRC Derby win no longer on the racing calendar, there was little choice but to take on the cream of Sydney's staying three year old ranks.
Hierarchal has galloped strongly since his last start win and much as last time, still goes into his race a little underdone. He will need the right run from his slightly awkward draw but his work is up to the required standard and he will make his presence felt.
Given that he performs to the stables expectation he will have his next start on Cox Plate Day in the 2040m three year old lead up to the VRC Derby, The Dilmah Exceptional Teas Vase. Makes for a very exciting time for his owners.
