Terms And Conditions

Racing Australia has recently published a set of basic terms and conditions to put some structure around the relationship between Owners and Trainers. The main feature of the Racing Australia agreement is the dispute resolution system that has been put in place, which we welcome. Racing Australia also invited trainers to "flesh out" the agreement in light of the normal protections provided for in consumer legislation for both service providers and their customers whilst maintaining the main objectives of the Racing Australia agreement. The agreement we now have is a reflection of that ideal and has now been adopted by the New South Wales Trainers Association as well as many Victorian trainers. It has been constructed by The Macquarie Legal Practice and provides protection for both parties in accordance with the relevant legislation.
