If you hear the name ZAZABELLE most people would remember the 1999 Melbourne Cup when the daughter of Zabeel dead heated for third behind stable mate Rogan Josh. Bart Cummings secured his eleventh Melbourne Cup and as we approached the new millennium we witnessed another piece of brilliance from the king of racing in the country.

SKY BOY (Pendragon x Zazabelle) was born and bred at Think Bid Stud and now races with the Cummings Team at Leilani Lodge where his mother resided in the late nineties. He has shown the ability to settle and since breaking his maiden at Kembla Grange has gone through the grades beautifully. The son of Pendragon brought up his third win at start number eight during the week as he ran away from the field in the BM70 Hcp (1550m) on the Kensington track.

He has returned in great order and appears to be getting better as he finds more ground and utilises the maturity and pedigree that was well found by the staff at Think Big Stud.

Anthony and Edward couldn’t be happier with SKY BOY’s progression and a tilt at stakes level looks likely after he dismantled a quality field with professionalism and poise.
